Historical Note: The German King Tiger Tank was the most feared tank on the battlefield. The thick armor gave it a decisive edge in defense, and the power of the 88mm gun gave it a commanding edge in attack. The tank was not produced in great numbers and entered use towards the end of WWII. By this time in the war, the allies had achieved air superiority and many King Tigers were destroyed from the air.

More History: During the Second World War, the German Army had the most powerful battle tank in the world: it was called the Tiger Tank. However, based upon the continued pursuit of world domination, the Third Reich felt the Tiger tank was not enough to defeat the Allied Forces armored divisions. This pursuit of greater firepower lead to the development of a new Tiger tank. This new awesome machine would combine tremendous firepower with new increased levels of armored shields. This Tiger tank would be outfitted with an awesome 88mm cannon, 150mm thick front armor and 80mm thick side armor. In January 1944, the new production Tiger was rolled into action, this new battle tank would be forever known as King Tiger.
