PEPSI-COLA TRAVEL AIR
This great looking Liberty Classics ( Spec Cast ) Pepsi-Cola aircraft bank has a removable pilot canopy (to insert coin) , rotating wheels and propeller and removable engine cowl ( to remove coins). Licensed by Pepsi Cola Corp., this colorful aircraft has approximate dimensions that are 11 inches in wing span and 8.5 inches in length and weighing over one pound!
Historical Note: Designed by Herb Rawdon and Walter Burnham and built in secrecy in Wichita, Kansas by Walter Beech, the Travel Air was a low flying monoplane with a fixed landing gear. Wing span measured 29 feet 2inches, with an overall length of 20 feet 2inches. Powered by a 420 h.p. air cooled Wright J-6 Whirlwind engine, it achieved a maximum speed of 230 m.p.h!
