Historical Note:

B-17F, 41-24485 went into service with the 8th Air Force's 324th Bombardment Squadron based at Bassingbourne, Cambridgeshire. Coded DF-A, and named "Memphis Belle" the aircraft achieved celebrity status as the first 8th Air Force Bomber to complete 25 missions. Today the aircraft is on display at Mud Island, Tennessee!

This is the "Memphis Belle" brought back to life in stunning form. Good detail work from the Corgi crew and an outstanding paint job to boot. Cannot say enough about these B-17's. I'm buying the set!
