The Eaglemoss BatmanTM Collection is an amazing new series of officially authorized, highly detailed, die cast models of the most iconic vehicles ever driven by the Caped Crusader. Each commemorates Batman’s 75th anniversary and is specially presented on its own custom display base against a 3-D background from the comics to the hit television series and blockbuster movies.

There are a few flying Batmobiles, but this one, looking more like a cross between a giant bug and a spaceship, is definitely one that stands out on its own. The large red windshield is happily translucent, a very nice touch by Eaglemoss, so one can actually see inside the thing, and there is a tiny bit of texture/sparkle/something added to the vehicles paint, so all that solid black has *some* life to it. The tires look great angled mostly horizontally, a la a certain flying Delorean time machine, though detaching the car from the plastic support structure, should one want to, is more of an ordeal than it should be. The fold-out wings are plastic and thusly most fragile, but Eaglemoss did a fantastic job of recreating Frank Quitely's/Grant Morrison's design, and it really does look like it's hurtling through the air. This one looks so different than what one thinks about as a "Batmobile", and I keep going back to enjoy the look of this particular model.
