Historical Note:

The Greek Government had considered purchasing the Eurofighter Typhoon but in 2005 opted to purchase the F-16. Under the Peace Xenia IV agreement 20 new Block 52 F-16Cs and 10 Block 52 F-16Ds would be delivered between 2009 and 2010. F-16C 06-0002 was the second C variant to be delivered to the 336 Sq "Olympos" of 116 CW, the oldest and most famous squadron in Greece. The 336th began receiving their F-16s in 2014 making them the last HAF squadron to fly the A-7 Corsair.
