The newest version of the F-18, the two-seat F/A-18F Super Hornet, carries over the name and design concept of the original F/A-18, but are extensively redesigned, with a new, 25% larger airframe. The Super Hornet has a stretched fuselage and larger wings, and leading-edge extensions. The VFA-41 Black Aces is a U.S. Navy fighter squadron based at NAS Lemoore, flying the F/A-18F Super Hornet.

First time purchasing a DRAGON USA scale model. I didn’t know what I was getting, for the low price paid. What I got was a well crafted and detailed aircraft with the following features:
*Diecast metal construction (with some plastic components).
*Realistic panel lines, antennas, pitot tubes, access panels, surface details and markings.
*Opening canopy.
*Moveable horizontal stabilizer.
*Interchangeable landing gear.
*Detachable ordnance loads.
*Display stand.
Reasons for me not giving a five-star rating:
*No pilot and crew figures.
*Display stand construction is flimsy, for the weight of the aircraft.
*Had to sand down or apply glue to many of the parts, in order to attach them onto the model.
*Two of the under-wing weapons attachments (one on each side) didn’t align (too small) with the supplied ordnance.

Looks great, and very detailed. My son was excited to put it together, and set it up.
