GEARBOX COLLECTIBLES

The 1930's have been called the golden years of flying. This decade produced what many biplane pilots feel were the best of the flying machines. Of all the old biplanes produced at that time, the Stearman seems to be unanimously favored for its easy handling and simplicity. Many pilots who flew in WW11 learned by flying a Stearman. RCA's famous mascot, Nipper, was an actual dog, born in Bristol, England in 1884. His owner, Francis Barraud, painted "His Masters Voice", the famous image of Nipper listening to the phonograph.
