The Stinson Detroiter is well known as the American aircraft with a completely enclosed sound -proof and heated cabin. It was also the first to incorporate brakes onto its landing gear. The Detroiter was an excellent vehicle for winter flying, eventually winning awards for its reliability and endurance.
