Historical note: The CANT Z.1007 Alcione (Kingfisher) was a three-engined medium bomber, with wooden structure. Designed by ingegner Filippo Zappata, who also designed the CANT Z.506 it had "excellent flying characteristics and good stability" and was regarded by some as "the best Italian bomber of World War II" although its wooden structure was easily damaged by the climate, like those experienced in North Africa and in Russia.

Great to see some different planes released. Love the lesser known foreign releases

This is a good effort on a key Regia Aeronautica type not easily obtained. I believe the Alcione and Z.506 Arione seaplane underline Filippo Zappata's credebtials as a quality, if unsung, aero desinger. DeAgistino has done him justice here. The price represents a bargain as it is, let alone at the 50% off I swooped on during Aiken's recent "beat the heat" sale. Plaudits to DeAgostini and the A-Team.

nice item , similarity to the Lancaster is pronounced. As always from this manufacturer .Heavy for it's size , which is a good thing.
